New Business Leadership Books Website

This is a little off beat, but one of Vinretro's other passions is business and business leadership (go figure! Why else would we start a vintage t shirt business if we didn't love it!). The leadership is that everyone, at some point, is a leader. Check out leadership tips and reviews of the best leadership books over at bestleadershipbooks.net

Caring for Vintage T Shirts

Vintage T Shirts offer the opportunity to sport one of a kind, historical pieces of art. If you buy an authentic vintage tee, then you KNOW you won’t run into a bunch of other folks with that shirt. Replace “Hey, I have that same shirt” with “Hey, WHERE did you get that?”

But now that you have found your super cool vintage t shirt – how do you make sure it lasts years and years? Follow the tips below and you can build your collection of one-of-a-kind t shirts without having to say ‘goodbye’ to your favorite threads any time soon:

  1. Washing by hand is the most environmentally sound and gentle solution, but not the only method. If you want to save some time you can throw it in the washer – just don’t use heat. Also, beware of detergents with a lot of chemicals. Get something with fewer chemicals or made for sensitive skin. This will help keep your vintage t shirt in great condition for a LOOONG time.

  1. Also, prevent wear and tear by letting the shirts hang dry. It’s free, and it will make a huge difference in the life of your t shirt.

  1. Hey, these are basically works of art! Don’t just stuff them in a box or in the attic. Store these threads in your house. Keep them away from extreme heat. Extreme heat = BAD. This is true when washing your shirts, too.

  1. FOLD vintage t shirts, don’t hang. Look, if you have to hang, it isn’t the end of the world. Shirts from Vinretro are in pristine condition and don’t need intense mothering – but if you have the option, fold. Folding puts less pressure on the shirt and will prolong the life. Look, don’t just leave them sitting crumpled in the bottom of your clothes basket either.

  1. ROTATE! Look, your shirt kicks ass – but that doesn’t mean you have to wear it everyday… Buy enough to go around. Check out www.vinretro.net every week to see our newest stock and load up on a wardrobe of unique vintage t shirts.
